so, the following are posts from two rescues, you guys decide what you like but il be posting comments with my opinion.

This post from hope for life makes me REALLY uncomfortable.
They state hes in no pain which im
very much doubting, but having an open wound covered with what looks like a sawn off water bottle top... thats not hygienic or safe. The edge can easily cut the dog. The tail is raw and should have been amputated as soon as vets said so. Not almost a week after.
i don't understand how money is an issue. The rescue in question along with sister rescue 'crazy kays creations' have accounts, they both are able to pay off vet bills as they have previously. This rescue just had adoptions, with adoption fees of $300- $400 they should have had money to have a down payment.
The above post was removed an hour later, replaced with one stating she will sell her ipad to cover the cost but donations are welcome but they just cant ask for them. that's great, but this issue had been going on for a while so why wasn't the money being raised. At first conversation when megan was told amputation may be a possibility, money should have been raised. From the day this photo was taken (thursday) the dog will have then waited a minimum of 5 days after to have surgery which may be upcoming this Monday.
this post was uploaded tonight (friday night). I don't know how RSPCA would feel showing their staff being so un professional and 'laughing' at concerned animal lovers.
I would just like to say it was not me who reported this to RSPCA, in fact i have had nothing to say on the issue until writing this blog. what changed my mind? Kay Boyd from Crazy Kays creation harassing my friend.... they assumed it was me who contacted rspca and wanted payback.
It was not me, but i do agree claiming to be a rescue then pretty much holding an animals surgery to ransom (until someone else paid for it) does need to be assesed by RSPCA. I also believe that if indeed this did reach RSPCA that it be re-assessed as its very inappropriate to laugh at the concerned public.
In conclusion, every rescue comes into contact with these kinds of issues, but the owners sell/make/fundraise. As soon as megan was told amputation may be in the future she should have started factoring it in, the Ipad should have already been sold. Instead there was a suggestive post made implying the dog would not get the surgery he needed until someone else paid for it. NOT GOOD ENOUGH!
I understand megan believes it was me who reported her to RSPCA, it was not. She does not need me to show her neglect of animals as she does a good job of proving it herself.
SECOND ISSUE:
this was posted the other day and it doesnt sit right with me either.
This is what happens when u own 20ish cats plus 20ish rescues, then allow another person who rescues and HER 15ish (not sure on exact number) cats and couple of dogs.
no doubt this scrap was caused by the stress of all these things combined.
Cinders vet work was all sponsored by a friend of mine, she was a loving, friendly happy cat with no aggression and no tendency to fight. She should have been adopted by now.
My issue with this post is if you are giving adequate care to an animal, how does an issue like this get SO BAD it needs removal? I understand issues with the eye do progress rather quick, but how do you allow the issue to fester? If i see an issue with an animals eye then it goes strait to the vet, i dont 'wait and see'.... Kay is apparently (i say apparently as i have since heard she may not be qualified = i dont know the facts) apparently a vet nurse. Now, somebody claiming to be a rescue and providing high quality care should not allow such an issue to come to this degree. i DO need to commend her on getting her surgery without waiting for someone else to pay -she did step up by the end. This is kays fault and it shouldnt have happened. this also is only one example of a kitty having an eye removed in her recent care.

Im all for people rescuing and helping animals in need, but if you can not provide vet work as soon as its required then STOP taking more in. I believe megans issue was out of laziness, while i suspect kays was as a result of too many animals and not enough care given.
it is not the people 'outing' the bad practices that gives rescue a bad name, no, it is the people FAILING to give appropriate care who are giving rescue a bad name.
